I feel like I’ve been waiting forever to say this, but it’s finally time. Alpha House comes out tomorrow! Look for it on Netflix!
In case it wasn’t obvious from the trailer, this isn’t a family movie. If language, sexual content, nudity, partial nudity, and “crude humor” are your thing, awesome! If not, I will not be offended if you skip this one (but you might be if you don’t).
Either way, I hope everyone has an awesome March 11th! I know I will!
Thanks so much to everyone I worked with on this one! Thank you Jacob Cooney, Julien Ari Bensimhon, Rebecca Violet Schroeder, Laura Beth Love, Derek Van Valkenburg, Jean-Louise O’Sullivan, Alistair Duff, Brian Glenn, Heather Paige Cohn, Jon Kondelik, Kyle Behling, Mariah Kraft, A.J. Rivera, Jacquelina Cardinale, Eli Bildner, and D.C. Douglas (just to name a few) for making it such an amazing, fun shoot!
Of course, thanks to all my friends and family, and all of you, too! This is just one step on my journey as an actor, but your first lead in a feature is a big one and I’m excited about it! Thanks!
I star in Alpha House from The Asylum (Sharknado) - On Netflix, RedBox and maybe WalMart? MARCH 11th!
On Christmas With The Karountzoses, the B Cam team are my buddies. They really like it when I look directly in the lens and make unnerving faces. It’s kind of our thing.
Say “hi” to Nadya and Ezra, everyone. They’re hiding behind the camera because they’re not used to anyone pointing one back at them.
Suite For Two Bands Geeks got accepted to the Portland Oregon Women’s Film Festival! If you live in the area, go see it!
I play Austin, the teenage, band geek, oboe playing heart throb (kind of) to Lynn’s (played by Heather Pasternak) shy, but lovable self-conscious underachiever.
If you know what the “male gaze” is in film, then maybe you’ll think it’s cool and stuff to know that there is some pretty heavy “female gaze” in this one. Even better, it’s on me. With a reed. In my mouth. Seductively.
It’s a funny movie featuring a lot of cool ladies, written and directed by a really cool lady (Lizzy Iverson), and I am proud to have been in it! Whether you can make it to this fest, another, or you can get a hands on a DVD at some point, give this one a look!
My First 16 Months in LA
It’s been a lot of fun so far! I knew I’ve been lucky, but I didn’t realize how lucky I was until last night when I counted up all the projects I’ve worked on in my first year and a half (give or take) in Los Angeles.
The surprising total?
If nothing else, that means I owe a big thank you to all my friends and family supporting me back home, every new friend I’ve made here in LA, and every amazing and talented person I’ve worked with on every one of those projects. Thank you!
I’m ready for the next 33!
Had a meeting with a really great theatrical agent today! Went well and I performed one of my favorite monologues from one of my favorite movies by one of my favorite actors for him. He seemed to enjoy it!
Oh you want to know what it was?
Just for you, I’ve recorded my own special 2014 version of a classic. All I have is my computer camera right now, so I have lazily/conveniently re-framed this monologue with the question, “What if Navin was skyping his future wife that night?”
I can’t tell you how much fun this is to do. I could say these lines over and over again all day.

A bunch of new projects coming up!

Unfortunately, I can’t say all that much about a lot of it yet, but I finished my first feature this fall, I’ve been cast in two more, and I’ve also got more webseries coming up.
The feature I finished is titled Alpha House and it’s a college dorm comedy by the Asylum, the same company that produced Sharknado. It’s going to be pretty hilarious if I do say so myself (and I definitely do). There will also probably be some boobs in it. Maybe a lot. So if you’re into comedy and boobs, well, look for that movie to be out on Netflix and Redbox in the spring!
Looks like 2014 is going to be just as fun as 2012. Check back for updates about these projects and news about when they’ll be coming out!
To all the friends I made at LBCC looking for my tumblr, you can find it here -
It was great meeting you! Thanks for stopping by.
